What is Wisern?

Wisern is a one-to-one mentoring platform that connects leading creative experts with those seeking expert advice. It is for Creatives of all disciplines who are looking to push their careers, business or creative practice forward.

Is mentoring coaching?

Not quite. The terms are sometimes used interchangeably which can be confusing, but our definition is that while both can be focused on (and really important for!) career-development, a coach will guide the client but will not usually provide advice; mentors are experts in their field and may well share personal experiences of navigating the industry or periods of growth.

How do we meet?

All sessions are held over video call, a link will be sent to you upon booking.

What can I expect on the day?

Before your session you will receive a Zoom link, a short questionnaire and tips to help you prepare. Please ensure you arrive on time as sessions will close at the stated finish time. You will meet your mentor and can start working through your question immediately. Your mentor will hold time for you, letting you know when you are halfway through and 10 minutes from closing, so you can make sure you get to ask everything you need.

What do I need to bring?

A clear question or outcome for the session, and an understanding of how this will move you or your business forward. An hour can go surprisingly fast, so make sure you get the most from it. You’ll also need a pen and paper for furious note-taking, and good strong wifi, as you won’t want to miss any nuggets of gold.

How can I be sure I will get what I need?

All our mentors are trained by a certified coach, but our tips for mentees will help make sure you get the most out of your session. Remember, a mentor is not a fixer-of-all-things, the hard work comes from you. Mentors do not provide the answers, they provide a space in which to work through the questions.

How long are sessions?

All sessions are booked for 60 minutes from the agreed start time. Arriving late will impact the amount of time you get to spend with your mentor.

How much is it?

Sessions are individually-priced, but start at £150 for one hour.

That session was amazing, can I see my mentor again?

Of course! You can book in as often as you like, and we hope that you will continue to gain value from your mentor. Longer-running programmes will be launching soon, you can pre-register your interest here.
